Our friends over at ScrewAttack.com have really had a bunch of Zelda goodies in the last few weeks. Just a week ago their Angry Video Game Nerd released a movie on the CD-i Zelda title, the Wand of Gamelon, and today another new Zelda goody is in place. One of their shows is known as ‘Life in a Game’. The main character ‘Guy’ is seemingly trapped in an endless video game along with his partner in crime ‘Sub-Plot’. Throughout his quest we constantly see him interacting with video game characters, items, bosses, and much more. There have been numerous Zelda references throughout his series of videos, from mocking the way that Link gets items in Zelda, to talking to strangers on the streets.

This time around, there is an entire episode that mocks much of the Zelda series, and in particular A Link to the Past. Everything from the music, the characters, the ‘trifork’, telepathic communication with the Princess, and the annoying talking scenes. There are even references to several other video games including Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Halo, and others. I’ve been following the show throughout its 8+ month lifespan and it really has some interesting stuff.

Or if you’d like to skip straight to the Zelda goodness, take a look at the most recent episode by clicking here. The beginning of the video shows a very quick recap of what has been happening in the series thus far. It is worth noting that there is some mature language in the movie, so if that isn’t your thing, you might want to stay away.
