In a surprising move, LEGO and Nintendo of America’s Twitter accounts teased an upcoming crossover between LEGO and Super Mario. No further details are known, though the implications of future crossovers could be strong. That is to say, could this new partnership suggest the possibility of a LEGO and Zelda team-up down the road?
Given this new relationship between Nintendo and LEGO, the possibility of the brand extending to The Legend of Zelda may not be far off. Demand for a crossover of the two is nothing new, as some may remember the “Iron Knuckle Encounter” as far back as 2013. That demand remains strong, as many set proposals still mark the LEGO IDEAS website. One set, a stable from Breath of the Wild, even has 10,000 votes and holds an “in review” status, meaning it could still meet fruition.
Do you think a Zelda x LEGO crossover could be around the corner? If so, what sets would you like to see? And are you excited for this Mario announcement? Let us know in the comments below!

John has been a Zelda fan for over 10 years now and is proud to say the series has had a major impact on his life (and wallet). After years of going to Zelda Dungeon for guides or the latest news on the series, John achieved their dream when they joined the writing team in 2019; John can hardly believe how long it’s been. A librarian, he loves meticulously arranging his library of Zelda games and collectibles. After what felt like an eternity of waiting for Tears of the Kingdom, John looks forward to the future of the Zelda franchise with enthusiasm, whether that’s the upcoming movie, a new spin-off/remake, or the next big game.
