The Zelda series has some incredibly talented and creative fans, so it’s always lovely when they take the time to lay out their processes for other fans to emulate. Simon, from ClayClaim, was inspired to make a tutorial on how to sculpt Breath of the Wild Link out of polymer clay after playing the game for just two weeks. The step-by-step makes this creation look accessible to the average crafter, so take a look and maybe give it a try!

Simon uses Fimo clay for his Link model; those interested can buy it here or at most craft stores. Simon also has a video detailing what tools he uses when crafting with clay, which may be helpful for anyone who wants to follow his tutorials.

This is Simon’s first Zelda-related sculpt, but he also has tutorials for characters from Donkey Kong, Pokemon, Adventure Time, Clash of Clans, and more. I haven’t seen a Zelda clay tutorial that seems as doable as this one (I have seen some Sculpture Geek videos that are way out of my league, though), so I really enjoyed this and am considering trying it myself.

Do any of you want to try this out? Are there any other outfits or weapons from the Breath of the Wild you’d like to see Simon sculpt in the future? Any other characters from that game or the series as a whole? Share your thoughts in the comments!
