Japanese Nintendo Badges

nintendo_badge-4As of April 26th, Club Nintendo in Japan has come out with three new badges: Pikmin, Kirby, and of course our hero Link. Each badge costs club members 250 points a piece. Now I know you are all excited, but we do not think that these are yet available outside of Japan. We hope that if everything goes well in Japan and they sell well that it will eventually be available in other countries.

Hit the jump to check them out!!!

As you can see, each badge is unique in its own way. For the Zelda badge, the Link they chose to put on the badge is from The Wind Waker, brandishing the ever popular Hero’s Sword and Hero’s Shield. He is lunging foward in a downward strike and if you look below his feet you will see where it says “The Legend of Zelda”.

Second, we have Kirby on his signature shooting star. Along with Kirby you have other characters like King Dedede, Meta Knight, and Dwadle Dee. If you look in the middle of his star you can see where his name is etched there.

Last, but not least, we have three Pikmin. I think this badge was meant to represent the first game, because it only has the red, blue, and yellow Pikmin. The red Pikmin has a flower on his head whilst the yellow Pikmin only has a bud and the blue Pikmin only has a leaf.

I hope to see these come to other regions because I could see these on backpacks, hats, and other clothing. The detail that they put into each badge really makes me think that this become something of a collector’s item.

Tell us what you think in the comments below. Would you spend the points to get them if they were available to you?
