The battle against Molgera is one of my favorite moments in The Wind Waker. The Wind Temple boss fight takes place in a massive, wide-open arena that is covered by sand. Molgera has one of the best entrances of any of the bosses in the game, exploding out of the sand and soaring high around the edge of the arena. During the battle, the massive enemy mostly stays hidden from view, creating pits of sand to entrap Link or sending miniature sandworms to attack the hero.

This synthwave cover of “Molgera” by Amie Waters is an enthralling and energetic rearrangement of a great boss theme. Much like the original song from The Wind Waker, this arrangement has a blistering fast tempo that creates a heightened sense of drama. With a steady, hammering bassline, the arrangement never slows down or loses momentum. Amie Waters does a great job of layering the different electronic sounds on top of each other, creating a rich wall of sound. It is a great arrangement of a fantastic Zelda tune.

Overall, Amie Waters has a host of great Zelda synthwave covers. The channel typically celebrates Zelda Month in November, but due to a few delays, some awesome new arrangements were released during this month instead. These releases include synthwave arrangements of “Lon Lon Ranch” and “Oshus’s Theme”.

What do you think of this synthwave arrangement of “Molgera” from The Wind Waker or Amie Waters’s other Zelda pieces? Let us know in the comments below!
