Is This the New Xbox’s Controller?

What you see above this sentence is supposedly an image of the next Xbox’s controller, circled in red. According to the original source, this image was taken at popular game developer Valve’s headquarters (as you can probably tell by the Portal doorway and generally awesome disheveled state) and stands as proof Microsoft is planning to implement a large screen into the controllers of its upcoming system.
Needless to say, this image is most likely fake. We can neither confirm or debunk its authenticity, but the chances of this being real are slim to none. We already have quite a detailed idea thanks to those leaked Microsoft documents from a few months ago (which were initially tracked back to Microsoft thanks to yours truly) – they may have outlined an advanced Kinect, virtual reality and much more powerful specs, but there was nothing about built-in controller screens.
Not to mention, as a fellow staff member pointed out, the controller in question looks suspiciously like the already-available Xbox 360 controller with an embedded keypad – in which the keypad was Photoshopped out and replaced with a screen. For a quick comparison:

Separated at birth, perchance? While they’re still not perfectly identical in shape, there’s enough similarity to see where a pretty easy Photoshop could come from. Another theory floated around by Gaming Everything is that this could be a modded controller actually built by Valve because…well, Valve does what it does.
So what do you think, dear reader? Is this a shameful fake by some fool on the internet, or simply a shameless ripoff of the Wii U by some fools in charge of a company? Or is it just a harmless mod? Comment away!
