Yesterday we reported on the Irate Gamer’s opinion that Skyward Sword has clunky controls. During that same video, he made it crystal clear that he wants a more adult oriented Zelda game. He went on to praise the Zelda Wii U tech demo that was shown at E3 2011 and he hopes that a future Zelda game does look like this. The Irate Gamer took things one step further in creating his own custom version of the Zelda Wii U tech demo. You can view the video above, but jump inside to hear about the changes he included.

The notable change that the Irate Gamer added was to the sound. He added a full orchestrated track that is playing in the background, as well as a number of sound effects made by Link, the objects in the room, and the enemies. The music is a remix of classic dungeon music and the sound effects of Link sound similar to how he did in recent 3D console Zelda titles.

Overall… this is actually pretty sweet. I really enjoyed it quite a bit. It makes you wonder what the inclusion of orchestrated music will do for the series. Not only in Zelda Wii U, but also in Skyward Sword later this year. Will there be these huge build-ups in the music to lead to a massive boss battle? How about making the calm parts of the game even calmer? What other effects will orchestrated music have on the game? Feel free to post your thoughts in the comments below.
