HW_Link_BnC01We’ve known about Link wielding the Ball and Chain, as well as the Power Gloves for a while now, but Tecmo Koei has at long last released the trailer showing just what kind of destruction Link will bestow onto his foes in Hyrule Warriors! How do his enemies fare?

Hit the jump to find out!

In the trailer, we see that Link wields the Ball and Chain with surprising speed and finesse. It appears to (understandably) have a huge attack radius, making anyone remotely close to Link a potential victim. However, he proves that the Ball and Chain is just the beginning and illustrates how he can also use the Power Gloves to shoot electricity, pick up enemies, and well, pick up just about anything else you can think of. We see Link picking up the towering black blocks from Ocarina of Time that the Golden Gauntlets allowed him to lift, a Bomb Flower, and a giant boulder. He can even lift… the entire planet?! It seems like Link’s Musou (his special ability) has him burying the Ball and Chain into the ground while flipping the entire planet. I really don’t know what else to say.

If you continue watching, you’ll also get some footage of the Imprisoned. Similar to the Dodongo staying true to its source material, it looks like we’ll be fighting the Imprisoned the same way we did in Skyward Sword, which is by attacking its toes to topple it and then striking the sealing spike on its head.

What do you think of Link with his Ball and Chain/Power Glove combo? Does it look as fun to use as you initially thought? I mean, the guy can lift planets now, not to mention he has an underground Shoryuken.
