As most of us already know, Hyrule Warriors is coming to the 3DS and bringing some new friends along with it. Both Tetra and the King of Hyrule will be joining the roster for Hyrule Warriors Legends, and suitably the game will include somewhat of a Wind Waker style story-arc and new stages, according to this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. Additionally, Tetra will brandish some unique weapons and both newcomers will of course have their own distinctive movesets.

To find out more details concerning the new game as a whole, read our previous articles.
From Famitsu’s screenshots Tetra can be seen using a pair of cutlasses. She can also engage in close combat with foes using her blades or use her pistol to shoot enemies from a further distance. She is said to fight with pirate-like swiftness, so I look forward to some Jolene style combat.

The King of Hyrule on the other hand is a bit more mysterious in terms of fighting-style, but in his Hylian form he can use wind-based attacks. He can also transform into the King of Red Lions to mow down foes with a wave.

How do you feel about Hyrule Warriors Legends as a stand-alone game? Is it different enough from the Wii U version to warrant purchase? Are you excited to knock-back some baddies as Tetra and the King of Hyrule? Share your thoughts in the comments!
