aw Once again The Legend of Zelda series has proven its prestige in the Nintendo community by landing both of its current Wii U titles on Nintendo UK’s “Top 10 Wii U Games” list. In May, Nintendo UK asked fans on Twitter what their favorite Wii U games were, and Zelda fans new and old made their choices known. In the end, The Wind Waker HD took fourth place and Hyrule Warriors snagged the third place spot. Seeing as the Zelda games were only bested by Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Mario Kart 8, third and fourth place is impressive indeed. To see the rest of the list and Nintendo UK’s favorite Zelda tweets, hit the jump!

Nintendo UK’s Top 10 is as follows:
1. Mario Kart 8
2. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
3. Hyrule Warriors
4. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD
5. Super Mario 3D World
6. Bayonetta 2
7. Pikmin 3
8. Splatoon
9. The Wonderful 101
10. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

Nintendo UK had this to say about Wind Waker:

When it was first released on Nintendo GameCube, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker’s vibrant and expressive toon visuals made it one of the most original games of the generation. In HD, on Wii U, it got a new lease of life as the definitive edition of a fondly remembered Zelda classic.

It had this to say about Hyrule Warriors:

If this list proves anything it’s that you sure do love The Legend of Zelda, and you can’t cram much more Zelda goodness into a game than you’ll find in Hyrule Warriors! With a wealth of playable characters and hour upon hour of gameplay, Hyrule Warriors is an essential action game for Zelda fanatics.

For one thing, Nintendo UK is absolutely right that this list shows some major Zelda love, just wait until Zelda Wii U comes out, we may just have a new #1. Additionally, I was happy to see Pikmin 3 make the cut, as I think it was the best utilization of the GamePad and personally love the series. Also, Splatoon must have risen in the ranks quickly, as it only launched last week but still managed to shoot its way up to number 8.

What do you think of Nintendo UK’s list? Do you think it’s an accurate reflection of the community’s favorite Wii U games? Are there any games you wish had made the cut that didn’t? Or any that you feel should be a higher rank? Share your thoughts in the comments!
