Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity was featured for about an hour during Koei Tecmo’s presentation at Tokyo Game Show 2020. Highlights of the stream include the showing off physical goodies from the Japanese Treasure Box edition, a new character reveal, and a new story trailer. But by far the coolest takeaway was the gameplay footage that was shown, which was over 10 minutes in length!

The stream gave us a proper look at how Breath of the Wild‘s gameplay has translated to the Musou style. We can see Link performing a Shield Surfing attack that takes out waves of opponents, shooting arrows in rapid succession, and utilizing his Runes. We also saw the Baby Guardian from the game’s artwork in action, as it adorably runs around the battlefield accompanying Link. The gameplay footage also features Young Impa as a playable character and shows off some of her moves.

Did you like what you saw from the gameplay footage? What other characters are you hoping will be playable? Tell us in the comments below!
