Hymns of Light and Shadows – House Theme

It has been several weeks since the release of Casper’s, also known as CSGuitar89’s, full length Zelda tribute album, Hymns of Light And Shadows and as promised he has been releasing a new video once a week featuring songs from the album. His intentions with this album was to have a full length album that lasted atleast an hour. He successfully met his goal when he finally released it with a full track list of 18 songs ranging from many different Zelda games and even gave the fans a chance to come up with their own title and cover for the album.

Last week’s video was a heavier than usual cover of Goron City from Ocarina of Time and next week’s will be the Hidden Village Theme from Twilight Princess. This week however, the featured video is a soft melodic version of the House Theme from Ocarina of Time. Check out the video after the jump to listen to it for yourself.

The Legend of Zelda series is full of memorable songs that we can easily recall when thinking of the Zelda series. While the series may have more popular songs like Saria’s song / Lost Woods theme, Zelda’s Lullaby, Song of Storms, etc… It is also filled with several overlooked songs that are still great on their own. One of these great songs, is the House Theme from Ocarina of Time. I mostly think it is overlooked due to how common the song is to hear and how other songs have more importance in the game, such as changing night to day, making Goron’s dance, or magically warping you to a new location.
