zelda u hmk graphics In one of HMK’s recent videos, he has speculated that the reason for the Zelda U delay could be that Nintendo changed the graphics for the title. Nintendo would most likely not have changed the style and HMK does not think that they will change it, however the idea was explored. It was mentioned that it could have been the reason that Zelda U was not shown at E3 2015 even though they said that they had footage. They would not have been able to show said footage as it would not look like the finished game.

In the video it was mentioned that some people didn’t like the graphics shown at the 2014 E3 Zelda U teaser, however I do not think Nintendo would change the style to fit what others wanted. It seems that it is a minority of people that are complaining about the art style, as most people are both fine with and exited for the art style. I like the art style that was shown and am looking forward to it, I am hoping that the delay is to refine the game or to add more content. The idea of a master quest or a new game mechanic would be a much better reason for the delay than a change in art style. I feel that the delay could be add more to the environment and make the world feel alive so that it does not suffer from being a big world but being barren.

What do you think is it possible that this is the reason for the delay and if so do you think it is a good idea? Drop a comment below sharing your thoughts.
