In an interview with GameInformer, Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma confirmed that Breath of the Wild director Hidemaro Fujibayashi is returning to direct the recently announced sequel, saying, “We’re working together really hard on this game.” Fujibayashi has been working on the Zelda series since the 2001 dual-release of Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons. He has since directed a handful of acclaimed entries in the series, including The Minish Cap, Skyward Sword, and the aforementioned Breath of the Wild.
