Ocarina of Time speedrunners always impress with how quickly they’re able to beat the title. But they aren’t just perfect players, they’re skilled exploiters of the game. The hard-to-execute tricks that allow speedrunners to glitch past whole chunks of Ocarina of Time are now well documented, and animator ScottFalco took notice. He comically highlights these absurd exploits in a recent parody video that’s chock-full of other video game and pop culture references.

You don’t have to be a fan of Zelda speedrunning to get a kick out of this animation, I’m personally not too familiar with them and I thought this was delightful. I did hear through the grapevine about various strategies– like the double KO method for defeating Gohma– so it was interesting to see them laid out in such a fun and digestible way.

ScottFalco produces a variety of videos and animations related to a slew of games and television shows, including more speedrun parodies like the one he made two months ago for The Wind Waker. Be sure to check those out if you’re interested.
