Happy 126th Birthday Nintendo!

Its kind of crazy to think that today is Nintendo’s 126th birthday! The company was originally founded on September 23rd, 1889 in Kyoto by Fusajiro Yamauchi. Nintendo had its start in life as a handmade hanafuda playing card company, and after many different ventures evolved into a video game company around the 1970’s. Over the years Nintendo has had many up and downs, seen many different versions of success come and go, and created some of the most long lasting franchises in gaming history. Some say that video games would not be what they are today if it wasn’t for the work that Nintendo has done and pioneered over the years. We here at Zelda Dungeon hold a special place in our hearts for the Big “N” as without it we might have never been given the world of Zelda, which over the years has brought much joy to all of us and many others around the world.
