Gossip Stone: Which Items From Previous Zelda Games Should Be Featured In Zelda U?

Hey everybody and welcome to the latest edition of Gossip Stone! This time around I’m going to be talking about which items from previous Zelda games should return in Zelda U. This is not including the bombs because I can pretty much guarantee that they will be in the next game. Im also not including the sail cloth or the bow because we know for certain that they are in the game. So with all that being said, let’s get into it!
So to start the list off I’m going to put myself out there and suggest the spinner. I completely loved that item and it was such a shame that it got barely any use in Twilight Princess. I really want the items in Zelda U to be frequently used outside of the dungeon that they are obtained in. The spinner was super fun to use but unfortunately we didn’t get to experience much of that outside of the Arbiter’s Grounds. The spinner could be used as a way of reaching higher levels of dungeons as well as being used in some puzzles. There could even be dedicated tracks in the overworld that you could use to scale mountains with the spinner. Unfortunately, I don’t think the chances of the spinner being included in Zelda U are very high, but I can dream can’t I?
Next up, the clawshots. I believe that the clawshots in Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess are how they should be in every game. They give Link the ability to shoot across walls like some sort of ninja and I think it’s so cool. I really liked how you could go higher and lower while hanging in Twilight Princess, something that unfortunately wasn’t carried over in Skyward Sword’s clawshots. Anyway this variation of the hookshot really needs to be added into Zelda U.
Finally, I believe that the tornado rod should be in Zelda U. There is a screenshot from the gameplay demo of Zelda U that shows what is speculated to be a magic meter underneath Link’s health bar. The tornado rod in A Link Between Worlds gave Link the ability to fly up briefly. He wasn’t able to move in the air, it was more like a big jump. I would really love to see the tornado rod give Link the ability to fly in the air for as long as he wanted with the only restriction being his magic meter running out. Even if Link fell out of the sky he would be fine since you could be prompted to pull out your sail cloth. The possibilities are endless with what you could do with this item. Imagine Link getting carried through the sky by a mini tornado! I don’t know about you guys but I think that would be pretty epic.
So that wraps it up guys, hope you enjoyed the list! I’d love to hear what you guys have to say so leave your thoughts in the comments below, until next time everyone!
