Get Motivated to Save Hyrule with these Zelda Propaganda Posters
Posted on August 02 2017 by Alexis S. Anderson
Artist Fernando Reza of Fro Design Company recently released a line of visually stunning and cleverly designed propaganda posters inspired by the Zelda series. The posters make reference to various Zelda titles and take inspiration from classic wartime posters, bearing phrases like “Enlist in the Waves” on a Wind Waker design and “We Beat ‘Em Before.. We’ll Beat ‘Em Again!” alongside two iterations of Ganon. The 17-poster set is available for $400, with each individually available for $40.
In an interview with The Mary Sue, Reza explained that the line was made in anticipation of a book due out next year (his work was previously featured in Geek-Art: An Anthology). He also shared that his favorite Zelda game is Majora’s Mask, though he has a deep appreciation for the histories, storylines, and characters from throughout the series.
These 18” x 24” posters will be printed with Giclee on Enhanced Matte Archival Paper, and currently only 100 copies of each are to be produced. In addition to his Zelda line, Reza has propaganda-style posters inspired by the Mario series, as well as various television shows, countries, and cancelled films.
What do you think of these Zelda propaganda posters? Do they make you want to take up your Master Sword and once again join the battle for Hyrule? Share your thoughts in the comments!
