Get Lost in this Soft and Charming “Zelda’s Lullaby” Cover

When it comes to iconic songs from the Zelda series, one of the tracks that immediately comes to mind is “Zelda’s Lullaby.” From its most simple six-button melody on the ocarina, to the sweeping movements of orchestras, to the ways it can be manipulated into a whole game’s main theme (Skyward Sword), “Zelda’s Lullaby” is one of the most influential pieces of music from the games.
This latest arrangement, by way of RebeccaETripp over on YouTube, is a gentle take on the classic. With soft vocal backing providing the melody and quiet strings plucking to the beat, this piece feels like its right out of a delicate cutscene with the titular Princess. This seems all too fitting as, according to Tripp, the arrangement is going to be used as part of her upcoming audio drama, “Lamp of Destiny.”
I was immediately enthralled with this song. “Zelda’s Lullaby” is one of my all-time favorite songs from the series, and this piece transports me right into the garden from Ocarina of Time when Link and Zelda first meet. I feel a sense of magic and wonder, like a grand adventure is about to unfold.
