As Tri Force Heroes approaches ever-closer to its release date later this month, we’ve had our eyes peeled for any new information. Luckily, our pals at GameXplain recently sat down with the game and provided a preview video of their extended playtime. Their preview offers a general overview of Tri Force Heroes‘ gameplay mechanics, shows off new areas within the game, and shares some new details that will excite completionists.

GameXplain got the chance to see new levels from the game’s first five areas, including the Woodlands, Volcano, Fortress, Riverside, and Ice Cavern. Some interesting things to note are the mine cart ride in the Volcano and the darkened room in the Fortress; those are levels not seen in the game’s E3 demos.

As well, GameXplain shared some new details on replayability within Tri Force Heroes. After completing one of the 32 unique stages in the game, players then unlock additional challenges for that stage. These challenges include popping balloons, defeating enemies without a sword, and transporting an orb through the stage. These types of challenges will give players more chances to refine their teamwork skills, as well as give completionists more things to keep busy with.

Tri Force Heroes is set for release in the US on October 23.
