Game Boy Titles, Including Link’s Awakening, Coming to Nintendo Switch Online

It’s Game Boy time! In today’s Nintendo Direct, the company announced that an assortment of classic Game Boy games will be added to Nintendo Switch Online. The initial line-up includes iconic Game Boy games like Link’s Awakening DX, Tetris, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, Metroid II: Return of Samus, and Wario Land 3. The first set of Game Boy games is available today with a Nintendo Switch Online membership.
In the announcement trailer, Nintendo also revealed Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket, and Game Boy Color screen filters. Nintendo also noted that two players can play locally or online (friends only). More Game Boy games will be added in the future, including two in-demand Zelda titles: Oracles of Ages and Oracle of Seasons. In addition to Game Boy games, Game Boy Advance titles will be available with Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
