Future Zelda Games will use Motion Controls

In a recent interview with Eiji Aonuma, he reveals to the official Nintendo magazine that future installments of the Legend of Zelda will use motion controls like in Skyward Sword. After the success of Skyward Sword’s motion controls, Aonuma can’t see Zelda going back to the traditional button controls, even though he had doubts about motion controls during Skyward Sword’s development. Miyamoto also stated back in September that going back to button controls will be difficult.

Eiji Aonuma:I honestly think we cannot go back to button controls now, so I think that these controls will be used in future Zelda titles, too.

With this in mind, how will motion controls be used in Zelda Wii-U? And with the new controller, how will it use motion controls? Only time will tell during next years E3, when Nintendo will reveal the final design of the Wii-U and possibly more information about Zelda Wii-U.

Don’t forget to leave your comments below. Did you like the motion controls in Skyward Sword? Would you like to use the same controls again or would you rather go back to the traditional button controls?
