I am sure many of you today may have noticed little errors or the entire website vanish at times. First and foremost, I want to apologize for that. This sort of stuff is unacceptable around these parts, but is also a reality when dealing with server specific issues. We are happy to say we now know what caused the downtime – too many pings to our database. However, we don’t inherently know why today, of all days, the database was getting overly pinged. What we do know is that the Forums themselves, which were going through an upgrade process, have the most issues within the database. They will likely remain down through the weekend when we can sit down and sift through a few things

Beyond that, we are just glad you’re still with us. Our staff had a lot of issues on the backend, and personally I couldn’t access it for most of the day. This lead to some broken images at times, or even some news getting delayed – like the fact Hyrule Warriors releases on August 14th in Japan. We take pride in our news coverage and we know today was a blip on the radar in that regard. We are almost back to full strength now, and happy to say things should be smooth sailing. We identified the issues and quicker ways to deal with them should they occur in the future. We hope you look forward to E3 and more stable future for Zelda Informer and Gamnesia.
