The Drawing Competition is finally back, this time with me at the helm. So, if you've been itching to show off your artistic prowess, this is the competition for you!

How it works:

Every two weeks (approximately) I will be posting a new competition thread along with a theme of my choosing, which you can then go ahead and interpret any way you want by the deadline of the current competition. Once the cut-off date is reached, I'll then take all your entries, post them in a thread and have the entire ZD community vote on which one they think is the best entry for that theme. A new thread will then go up announcing a new theme, starting the cycle anew.

Here are the rules for the Drawing Competition:

  1. Adhere to the main forum rules and general ZD competition rules.
  2. All work submitted must be an original creation.
  3. You can submit either digital art or traditional art.
  4. Submit the direct link to your entry to me via PM. Late submissions will not be accepted.
  5. Keep your images clean and free of pornographic content.
  6. Keep your drawings a manageable size (approx 700x700 pixels max).
  7. Keep to the current theme.
  8. Miscellaneous:
    a. Entries are not to be shown to anyone else until the voting period is over.
    b. Entries may not include any text that identifies or alludes to you specifically as the creator in order to keep the submissions anonymous and the voting as unbiased as possible.
    c. Entries may include text, if you wish, on your image as long as it doesn't conflict with rule 8b.
    d. You may only submit one (1) entry per round.
    e. If the cut-off date has not yet been reached and you wish to change or withdraw your entry, PM me ASAP.
If you have any questions about the rules or the competition, post them in the thread below or send me a PM.
If you have any suggestions or general feedback for the competition, feel free to post those below or PM them to me as well.

Detailed Rules:
  1. Adhere to the main forum rules and general ZD competition rules:

Pretty self-explanatory, I think. Click here to read main forum rules. Click here to read ZD's general competition rules.

  2. All work submitted must be an original creation:

To ensure that you have not plagiarised someone else's work, I will be monitoring each submission for signs of plagiarism. If I feel that the image is not wholly original, I will then double check with moderators before I refuse that image entry into the competition and any further action is taken.

This rule also extends itself to resubmitting old work. Even though what you already have may fit the current theme, this competition requires that you draw something new each time you submit an entry.

  3. You can submit either digital art or traditional art:

No matter which method you choose, the picture needs to be drawn. Don't go pasting renders, vectored images you did not draw yourself or C4Ds onto a background. That is not allowed in this competition.

  4. Submitting your entry:

Entries are to be submitted to me and only me, Mamono101. If your image was hand drawn, take a photo of it or scan it into your computer. Once you have a digital copy, upload it to an image hosting site such as Imgur, and then PM me the direct link to the image. Remember: Late submissions will not be accepted.

  5. Keep your images clean:

What I mean by this is do not submit anything pornographic in nature. This is the only restriction I ask you to keep in mind before drawing your entries. If I do receive anything that I feel is inappropriate, I will forward your submission to a moderator for a second opinion, before deciding whether or not your entry will be included.

  6. Keep your drawings a manageable size:

Try to keep your drawings around 700 x 700 (measured in pixels). This is not a hard and fast rule, but if I feel the entry you've submitted is too large, I will ask you to resize it. If you don't know how to resize the image, let me know ASAP and I can make some arrangements for you.

  7. Keep to the theme:

Whilst I encourage you to interpret the theme as literally or figuratively as you want, your entry must be in line with the current theme of the competition. In saying that, it'll be up to the rest of the ZD community to judge just how well you incorporated that theme into your drawing. I will never not post an entry unless it is in clear violation of Zelda Dungeon forum rules.

I have updated and added to rule 8. The new addition will not come into effect until the start of round 4.
