Malice-infected Zelda as a boss and a sort of co-antagonist with Ganon (because of course it'll be Ganon in the end) through some kind of mind-manipulation from malice corruption. She falls into some pit, so that'll be when it happens I guess. Basically possessed Zelda from TP but going beyond more than a simple boss fight.

1. The game will be about breaking the curse like in WW and these will be the final incarnations of the trio in this timeline.
2. Fi will return.
3. There will be seven main dungeons, each of which will reward Link with a "tear" that gives him a new ability.
4. Zelda will die at the beginning and come back to life at the end.

I'm absolutely down for killing Zelda in order to raise the stakes, but just resurrecting her at the end just kind of undoes everything.

I predict that the Zonai are the descendants of the people who remained in the sky.
Skyloftians evolved down two paths - The Oocca and the Zonai.

The Zonai structures seem to be the ones that are in the sky exclusively.
Perhaps all these Zonai structures fell to the surface, they assisted the Hylians in sealing away Ganon, and lived on the surface. Their sky islands and structures eventually sank deeper into the ground, sediment and rain over eons shifting the ground and burying these islands; making them indistinguishable from the typical landscape.

However, the breaching of Ganon's seal has caused these islands to awaken and rise into the sky.
And Link must collect the seven Tears in order to re-seal Ganon and cure his Calamity that is plaguing Hyrule once again.
