I'm not sure. I've gone trick-or-treating a few years ago dressed up like Harry Potter. Now my only goal is to scare someone. But not like a little kid or someone. That would be too easy. This year, my plan is to dress up in black, hide in the shadows of my house, and jump out and scare people. My original plan was to dress up like Death, but I didn't have a cloak.

I think the time to stop going door-to-door is when you become taller than your mom. Then it's better to dress up for Halloween parties. Also for scaring and getting scared, there's no age limit!

There's a stupid law where I live that you can't trick-or-treat after the age of 12(or so my friend tells me). But I'm breaking that law!XD (if that law really exists).

Last year my brother scared some college kids who came to our door. He jumped off our roof and yelled. If your allowed to jump off your roof and are able to you can do that.^^

EDIT: Forgot to put in my cut off age. Well, I think I'll just keep going until I either have no one to go with anymore(since it's no fun without other poeople) or when I move out(which is when I'll have no one to go with anymore).

I've only gone once, when I was probably...11 or 12. I'm quite a bit older now, so I likely won't go again. :shake:

As soon as I reach High School which is this year :P My little sister is going this year, but I'll rather be at ZD than go outside in the freezing cold *shivers*

I don't really think there needs to be a cut-off age. I never really went trick-or-treating when I was a kid because it was somewhat dangerous. But I have gone a couple of times recently because I happened to be at my Dad's house where it was safe.

Instead of worrying about age, I would worry about the safety of the neighborhood, whether you have other plans, and various other factors. I think age is a silly thing to worry about. Everyone loves candy. :)

13. I haven't gone trick-or-treating in years. When you reach high school, it's more about Halloween parties, which may sound bad, but they can be a lot of fun if done correctly. You know, great food, bonfire, scary movies, and the like. They're awesome.

I'm more than likely going Trick-or-Treating this year, and I'm 14. I'm planning on probably going with a group of my friends. Now, see, my friends and I are "five years old on the inside," as they like to say. :bleh: It's not a bad thing to continue on with a childhood tradition into teen years. Having good, clean fun (and candy!) is better than getting into trouble on mischief night. I'm not sure when I'll stop. I'll probably go as long as my friends are willing to go. That might be next year, that might be my senior year of high school.

Ironically, my class read an article today about a town in Virginia, I believe, that made it unlawful to Trick-or-Treat over the age of twelve. I swear, I almost died right then and there. It was the most ridiculous thing I had heard since we read about the "Fat Tax" imposed in Denmark. I think that's just way too over the edge. And why? Because "it scares homeowners to have 6-foot-tall teenagers show up at their doorstep in scary costumes," "because teens generally wear scary costumes that frighten younger children," and "older kids might take handfuls of candy while unsupervised while little kids with their parents only take one or two pieces." Their argument is completely ridiculous to me. What do the rest of you think about that? I think having your own, personal cut off age is fine, but a mandated one? No way.

NEVAR. Seriously though, I went trick-or-treating last year with some friends as a high school senior. Then again, I look a couple years younger than I am, but that’s still older looking than the ‘normal’ age range. Go as long as you feel comfortable trick-or-treating, I say. I mean, it might be a little weird if you’re a 40 year old and not escorting young children, but most people wouldn’t be comfortable doing that anyway. :P

I prolly won't go this year because I haven't had time to create a costume, my friends are either too busy to go or are attending college Halloween parties, and I doubt the cold I've got will go away by then. :( So, if I actually do go anywhere it will likely be to a party rather than actual trick-or-treating. Though I may opt to escort my younger siblings if I get a costume done.

I think it's ridiculous. Most teenagers who actually go trick-or-treating are harmless. I'm pretty sure teens who vandalize property are not the ones trick-or-treating, so it should actually be assuring to homeowners. As for 'scary' costumes, if one really thinks this is necessary, why not ban some Halloween decorations because they might 'scare' children too. It's only a logical extension of that law. And actually, when I was young some houses were intimidating to approach, but that actually made trick-or-treating way more fun. I WANTED to be scared. It’s Halloween after all. :bleh:

Also, most children young enough to actually be scared by scary costumes on Halloween are usually accompanied by parents who can reassure them that it is, in fact, just a costume. Anyone old enough to go without parents should know that it's Halloween, and such things can be expected. And if other people with said scary costumes want to act like jerks and scare little kids, they usually are intimidated by the presence of parents and save their scares for other groups.
