The Legends of Zelda?

Could it be possible for each and every zelda game to be variations of the same story? There are the details that have remained throughout most games: "A boy garbed in green sets off to save Princess Zelda from an evil Antagonist with the master sword". Then there are differences within: The Antagonists are different, the boy is at different ages/situations, Zelda has different personalities throughout the games. I do believe it is a possibility that every Zelda Game is a variation of one Legend. What do you guys think?

If they are really legends, maybe people created "sequel legends", to follow up on the hero's adventures, like Link's Awakening or Majora's Mask.

I was about to say half of them were variations of the first legend and half of them were variations of the first legend's sequal.

They are different stories within the same universe. The Wind Waker has to come after Ocarina of Time, but it isn't a direct sequel.

The Legend of Zelda Games are just Video games that pay homage to each other in many ways. They can be put in a Timeline but aren't really sequels to each other. They just have different time slots. Or not.... It clearly states in The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker that "This is one of the many Legends told" meaning It could be one Legend told in different ways. After all it is Zelda's Legend and not Link's. Meaning the way that Princess Zelda is saved could really be unknown, except that a boy named Link saved her. But who knows......
