The 2017 ZD Gamers awards.

All you have to do is choose 1-3 games released in 2017 for each category. As many categories as you choose to. Totally your choice.

You can rank your 3 games 1 to 3 or you can leave them unranked, your choice.

1. Playstation 4 game of the year
2. Microsoft (PC/XBox) game of the year
3. Nintendo Switch game of the year
4. 3DS game of the year
5. Indie game of the year
6. Port, remake or re-release of the year
7. Game with the best DLC content of the year
8. Multiplayer game of the year
9. Developer of the Year
10. Original Game Soundtrack of the year.
11. Best story and character development of the year
12. Graphics and Aesthetics of the year
13. Overall game of the Year

Good luck and it will be interesting to see what we all choose.

Note well:
Point 2 is like ths it because most Xbox games have cross play with steam these days.

For Point 6, the original game can have released anytime in the past. It's just the re-release/port that has to have happened this year and that's what's being judged here. The specific console that the port you are voting for needs to be said as well not all ports to every console platform are equal.

For Point 7, the DLC has to be released this year. It's an award for the DLC only. The base game does not have to have released in 2017.

I am aware this is a double post but I want this to be separate from the main post here. To keep the topic uncluttered. So people are clear on everything.

I am adding Yooka-Laylee to my top games of 2017. I've played it on Switch and it's seriously just that good. As good as Mario Odyssey in my opinion.
The digital Foundry video on the game really opened my eyes to everything. This game took ages to make ther Switch because it was not just a simple port with downscaled assets. many of the assets were totally remade to look great on Switch and still deliver a great gameplay experience. All this took time. It's clear that Playtonic took Nintendo's advice when meeting with them to move this port forward in every single way.
