Tears of the Kingdom Spoilers - Regional Phenomena Order

In which order did you complete the Regional Phenomena quests? Would you do them differently on a second play through?

I started the Hebra/Tulin one first but before finishing it I moved to start the Lanayru/Sidon quest. I ended up returning back again to finish the Wind Temple before the Water Temple. Then after those I moved to the Gerudo/Riju quest and finally the Akkala/Yunobo quest.

If I were to do go back and do it again I'd probably swap the second two and do the Gerudo area last as the boss there caused me the most pain.

I completed them in the order Rito, Gerudo, Zora, and Goron. I'm relatively happy with that order as I think the Rito and Gerudo sage abilities are the by far the ones I use most. I use the Goron ability some as well, and I use the Zora ability more on accident than on purpose.

I think Rito also had the most fun boss. I'd rank the bosses Rito, Goron, Gerudo, and Zora, and overall dungeons I don't have a strong opinion yet as they all seemed fun and similar in quality. I will definitely switch up the order on subsequent playthroughs though.

Pretty much the same way I did BotW: Rito, Zora, Gerudo, and Goron. Pretty interesting to compare them. I’d say both Rito sections are on par as starters, and are equally as useful for traversal. Zora, quite a step up for me, don’t really understand why people don’t like the dungeon or boss - I like having a more open concept that is needlessly complex, and the boss seems a bit more original than most water based ones. Unfortunately the power you get has more limited use.

Gerudo has been a pretty big highlight in both games, especially Riju herself as a character. Too bad Gibdo seem exclusive to this part of the game. Kinda neat they brought back mirror/light elements, and the traps in the dungeon are neat. Thunderblight was one of the better bosses last time, I think Queen Gibdo is neat but also a bit of a mess. Power you get here is pretty good but I really wish it worked with melee or throwing as well as arrows.

Gorons were the least interesting to me before, and Death Mt looked more imposing than it actually was. Better without the heat or lava as much here and the minecart stuff is fun. I remember really feeling like the entire Devine Beast part was such a drag in BotW, as well as very uninteresting with only 2 forms and needing a light source to proceed. Here in TotK it’s like night and day - much better characterization for Yunobo, much better lead up without some tedious escort mission, and the journey into the crater and everything, the dungeon itself, all much, much better in every way, especially the boss and the quick offensive power you get. My one and only gripe being there’s only one shortcut in the dungeon, so don’t fall down unless you want to waste zonaite on a vehicle to fly back up.

I like to play the game the way it tells me to so I did it in the order they gave me- Rito, Goron, Zora, Gerudo. I'm definately glad I did Gerudo last, seeing as both reaching the dungeon and beating the boss were considerably harder there than any of the other areas. Similarly, the Rito and Goron bosses were both very easy. Those dungeons probably could've been interchangeable, but I kinda like the weirdness of whatever was happening with Yunobo being in the middle. It balanced out the quest of reaching the Rito and Zora dungeons, which were very similar.

I followed the order purah gave me and was glad to have a general intended guideline of knowing where I should be next and if I'm strong enough to actually progress in that area. If I did it again which I have no desire to I would follow the same order

Rito, Goron, Gerudo, Zora. I only started the dungeons after 150 of 152 shrines.

I went Zora, Rito, Gerudo, Goron in BotW (I didn't beat Thunderblight until after I got Daruk's Protection though). I think the Rito quest being the easiest in both games is kind of disappointing, but at least Hebra got used for it in TotK.

I'll add all of the rankings and stuff to my blog in a couple months once spoilers are more accepted, but the bosses were all genuinely super enjoyable. Though I honestly preferred the Divine Beasts to the dungeons, I'm probably in the minority there.

Rito, Zora, Goron, then Gerudo. Tulin's special ability made the rest of them go very smoothly. Also, hoverbike.

I went with Purah's recommendation of Rito, Goron, Zora, and Gerudo. It felt like the difficulty scaled really nicely that way. Next run, I may do a different order (but still Rito first because Tulin's ability is hella useful for traversing the sky).

Rito, Goron, Zora, Gerudo, i feel pretty happy with the order though Goron and Zora could probably be swapped without any issue, but i think Rito does work best first, and Gerudo last
