A Link to the Past SPOILERS (kinda) That Bird....

Ok, so after defeating Agahnim the second time (correct me for spelling), Ganon flies away as a bat and goes to the pyramid, but how does link get there?
He pulls out the flute and has the bird take him. Seems logical, Exept for the fact that you cannot use the bird in the Dark World, Remember?
You start at turtle rock and go to ganons tower. You HAD to be in the dark world, how did all of a sudden the bird helps you NOW, instead of all the other times in the dark world?

I do not remember the bird, can you show me a screenshot? If the bird only appears when taking you out of the dark world, maybe it is like that because the bird is a hylian who's true form is a bird. EX: Links true form was a bunny. So, I am still not sure what you ment, so can you take a screenie?

Yeah, you can use the bird in the Dark World, can't you? I thought you could. If you can't, then it's probably because you defeated Agahnim so Ganon's power is weakening. Hence, the Dark World's power is weakening. So the bird can come. But I thought you could use it in the Dark World?

Wheneve someone mentions a bird, I remember Zeffa from MC. Is it something like that? (How can a small bluejay like zeffa cary link?)

Yes, It is like Zeffa, it can take link across the land, Like teleporting!

I dunno. Maybe you could use the bird the whole time but you just didn't know. :hmm:

You can't use the bird in the DW. I tested it recently, to my rage. I don't know, maybe they just wanted a way to take Link in a transition screen.

There was a thread asking the same question a few months ago. The best response I can remember was that at that point the "barrier" between the Light World and the Dark World was beginning to grow thin and the bird was able to hear the flute and arrive anyway. Although I really don't think the developers put it in with a solid explanation.

Yeah I've always noticed that, but I don't really think it matters. It didn't really seem like a big deal to me. Just a faster way to get to the final boss.

You make a god point. I don't think I even attempted to use the bird in the Dark World. I just always assumed to travel on foot.

I always remember trying to figure out a reason when I was little. Haha. Never did think of anything though. I don't know how I feel about the "thinning barrier" though. Not that it can't be true... Fun stuff!

Hmmm never thought of that maybe the bird was a dimension traveling seagull that wants to go save Link...LoL

so....maybe the bird accidentally flew through the portal in front of hyrule castle?...lame but plausible...i like the aforementioned theory that after ahganims defeat the lines between the worlds were blurring due to a weakening of ganons power.
