Skyward Sword Release Date

We all know that recently Miyamoto exclaimed that the game is "over half complete." Will the game meet its alledged early 2011 release date or will it be heavily delayed like Twilight Princess or Super Smash Bros Brawl? I fear that it may be the latter...

Actually if you read the interview carefully, Shiggy says Mario Kart 3DS hasn't been announced yet, but Skyward Sword has, it also says "at the time of the interview", its over half complete.
This most likely means the interview was done during E3 but they didn't post it until now.
Also, why would Shiggy be out doing a random interview in December? Especially with Pocket Lint, they aren't anything special.
This.

The interview was conducted during E3 and was published far afterwards with updated facts, but obviously they couldn't change Miyamoto's words. If they would have published the article during E3 it wouldn't have been noticed.

I'm super excited and I knew that Miyamoto-sensei and the rest at Nintendo would be able to make this a good game. I hope it comes out sometime early this year (happy 2011!)

For some reason it seemed a little unclear to me what Miyamoto meant by over half complete. I mean he never states when the starting date was when he said that in the interview, for all we know he could have been using E3 2010 (when he unveiled the game) as a starting date. That was seven months ago and i don't think we'll have to wait any longer than 4-5 more months. Just think, what if it gets higher scores than SMG and OoT because they spent so much time making it. I really hope it all worked out well for them.

SS is over half complete...I think Miyamoto is still working out a few bugs in the game, from that statement. It's very vague, but at least it is information. I hope SS gets at LEAST near OoT scores/reviews, because that would mean that whatever the "basics" were that the team went back to, it only means that they could possibly improve on those roots. Well, unless it meant that they were explaining the Master Sword and all...

Yeah, I think it's done too. I hope it comes out soon, i'm going crazy with the little information we have and the unknown release date. I'd love to be one of the people who test it to see if it's ready, if my idea of "testing" is playing the game all the way through, months before the release. That'd be awesome!

As I look at it for Tp The E3 for that game was in the year 2004, and came out in 2006. But it turned out to be a great game.
I guess I would not mind the wait, for then the game would be made to perfection.

I'm glad, by now it should be "over half complete". It seems like they have been working on this game forever Hopefully they make the best of what they can with the game.

I found the wording of Miyamoto's statement very open to interpretation. The prevailing view seems to be that "over half complete" means that the game is over halfway through development, or over halfway to completion. But I think he might have meant that over half the aspects of the game, such as game-play, graphics or level design, are completely finished, while some aspects are not, but that might just mean they need fine-tuning, not that they have not been started at all. He also might have meant that the over half the areas of the world are completely finished, which seems to fit with one his earlier statements that he wanted to add a few more dungeons to the game.
