That is an awesome idea! especially when you can imagine that dungeons could be much larger than they originally were- like if the shadow temple had layers upon layers of catacombs beyond what was explorable in OoT. or considering that dungeons could have been built on or expanded upon. Twilight Princess did this with the Temple of Time and theories that Arbiters Grounds were built upon the site of the desert colossus.
It'd be neat to explore the ruins of Goron City or return to a long forgotten fire temple. Heck, in a prequel you could visit a dungeon in a prior state. Like visiting OoT's forest temple or TP's snowpeak in their prime.
A sequel to Ocarina of Time (at the expense of the already-complicated timeline) would be nice, as that game had a lot of dungeons, all of them solid and iconic.
I've always wanted a sequel to OoT with Link grown up after having returned from Termina. The problem is that if such a game were to be set in Hyrule you could have some superficial differences to the geography here and there and even some expanded regions but it could be difficult to add dungeons where there were none previously. This is a simple solution I hadn't considered. Just present the OoT dungeons differently.
The Gorons have renovated the fire temple. New floors and chambers of the shadow temple are discovered. Some new evil has taken over the forest temple and has built on it and rearranged it. The Gerudo have founded a new lair somewhere out in the desert or they've retreated further into the desert and settled around the oasis, changing the nature and layout of the colossus and leaving their fortress a barely inhabited monster infested ruin. A whole dungeon exists beneath the temple of time!! Or perhaps Link explores other areas of the structure behind the window which many speculate is the temple of light in the sacred realm.
Exploring the dead Deku Tree could be extremely creepy, for instance.
It is not unreasonable to assume that TP's forest temple is the remains of the Deku Tree.
