I enjoyed the first Layton game, the Diabolical Box. I thought the puzzles were pretty good, but at times they could be truly infuriating and I hated them. There was one involving a chocolate bar that I could never figure out.

Beyond that, I played Layton vs Wright for the 3DS and...actually really enjoyed both styles of game. I thought they blended together really well. Ever since then I downloaded the bundle three pack to my 3DS and could never really get into them (Wright games, that is). I'll eventually get back to them, but story heavy games have never been my forte.

Good game. I love how it combines elements of both series. I haven't finished it yet, but I've really enjoyed what I've played of it.

That's how I was with the Wright three pack too. I made it through the first couple missions and thought it was interesting, but a little too much reading and not enough playing.

Sounds like the crossover is worth checking out. Thanks!

I've only played the first two Layton games (@BoxTar Diabolical Box is the second game; Curious Village is the first), and haven't played any Wright games, but I've been meaning to play them. The same with the crossover - sounds like a really interesting idea, and I can't wait to finally play it and check it out.

I love both series! I played them when I was young and absolutely loved them. My opinions on the Wright/Layton cross over are probably biased, especially since I know so many people who didn't like them. I liked the story line, but parts of it confused me...
Azran Legacy broke my heart... I love the series so much I named my budgies Desmond and Hershel.
