Pinocchio discussion, dumb adult world vs goodness of child world

Always wondered if there is some deep metaphor to that? See as children we by instinct do this because its what we like. But then we turn to adults and get ideas that may be stupid. Like in Pinocchio he is literally a puppet "wink wink" and does go along with all types of people which is what you can call the dumbness of the adult world. But he only truly becomes a real boy when he does something courageous and brave. I am just curious if i am overthinking this or not?

Child world isn't all sunshine and lollipops, kids can be pretty darn mean. Also if you read the actual book, Pinocchio is also pretty darn mean.
