How would Nintendo deal with amputees in Zelda? Would they completly shy away from them? Would they go for a magic aproach? Would they go for a cyborg aproach? Would they go for the old fashioned peg? Would they only go for one type of amputation ex: arm, leg, etc? Sorry if they already have amputations in the series, tell me about them if they exist (unless they are on like a skeleton or something).

I would argue that it depends where on the timeline the game takes place. I could see a magic approach around Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask on the child timeline as well as A Link to the Past, The Legend of Zelda, and Zelda II Adventure of Link on the Hero is Defeated Timeline; a standard peg would during darker times like Twilight Princess leaving a cyborg approach for industrial revolutions such as that occurring around the time of Spirit Tracks.

Well this is an interesting thought indeed. They would go for wooden appendages in OOT or games where there is less technology or a mechanical one in TP or spirit tracks where things are more advanced.

I also think it completely depends on the game and/or what race the amputee is. However i think a peg leg would be the most common

It all really depends on the game where and what kinda person a gruff rough person might have a pegg leg, a magical person may have a magic like leg, although a cyborg is possible anywere in the timeline since they have alout of technology in SS only certain places would it actualy fit well, like in ST i could imagine a cyborg leg
