Is Super Mario Oddessy worth buying?

I'm curious if it is worth adding to my collection so I picked a great group to ask, hardcore gamers. Thats right, you ZDers! I've heard good things but also bad and game reviewers are screwy. I just am curious if you guys think it is worth buying. I've played a demo at Target but demos don't show enough so without spoilers, is it any good?

Super Mario Odyssey is the most fun I've ever had playing a Mario game. The captures add so much to the gameplay, and the 2D segments are a great shake up. It's absolutely worth the entrance price.

Odyssey is definitely up there as one of the best Mario games. I personally prefer Galaxy overall but you can’t go wrong either way.

it's a game worth getting for sure, but that price is pretty steep for a 7 year old game, I'd say try to get it for as less as you can (then again I'd say that about any game) but either way, if you liked what you played at target then definitely go for it however you can

Yeah, I've seen it go on sale for 30% off at most. March 10th, Mario day, will almost certainly have a similar sale

Yes. It's one of the best 3D Mario games.
