I have 74 Gratitude Crystals right now and I don't know how many are required to help Batreaux turn to human.

Does anyone have this side quest done? If so, can I get some help as to where I can get more of them ASAP.

You need 80 crystals. You're either missing one sidequest and one overworld crystal or you're missing 6 overworld crystals. There are overworld crystals to be found on the Lumpy Pumpkin and Beedle's Island if you haven't gotten those yet. It's a good idea to dowse for them if you have that option unlocked.

I've got the ones from the Lumpy Pumpkin and Beedle's Island. So, in total, it should be what? 3 from those two areas?

15 crystals are around the sky. those 3 are the only ones you don't find in Skyloft itself. The other 12 are around. Make sure you look for the one in Zelda's room which you can get after you have entered it from the roof, leading to the piece of heart.

The one from Zelda's room was already done.

All of the individual Gratitude Crystals have already been taken, sadly.

If all individual crystals are taken you should have an odd number by now, so I'll go and say you found your 75th already. That meaning, you are missing a side quest, so scroll through the list and try to pin point out which one it is. Before you do that, make sure you got 10 crystals from the only side quest that gives you that amount, the Lost Sister.

By the way... some of the ones not found on ZD's list yet are...
-Beedle's Beetle
-Item Check Girl
-The New Plant
-The Baby's Rattle
-The Crystal Ball
-Pumpkin Landing

You might want to make sure you did those too.

I'm posting here instead of making a new thread because I'm also missing some (exactly 5). I've got all the crystals that are listed here on the walkthrough (60) and 15 more (can't remember them all but 5 were from delivering the Kikwi and 5 more for the crystal ball). There are no more single crystals to dowse for so I guess I have them all.
I think that the last 5 have something to do with the "Demon Beetle" which the Sheikah stone speaks of. I know Beedle speaks of it too when you visit him but even after buying his whole store empty his dialogue doesn't change, neither when you talk to him in his shop nor at nighttime (he also has no speech bubbles). The Sheikah stone tells me to go to the insect island, but beating the minigame in both modes under 2 min only gave me 5 insects each. And I also searched the whole island without the minigame started, but all there is is a wasp nest, and when you destroy that and collect everything (larvae and wasps) the insect point on the map disappears. I broke all the pots too and nothing was to be found. I'm almost at the end of the game (hero mode) and I've just gotten the Hero Song from the sky whale. Do I have to finish the Skyloft Silent Realm first or am I missing something else?

I was able to pick up the quest after speaking to the guy guy at Bug Island, and then going to Beedle at night time. But I would suggest you do finish the Silent Realm first.

Oh well, not long after typing my previous post I found out I actually had to beat the Skyloft Silent Realm, that's typical!

The new plant? O.O I didn't know (or I already do, not sure. xD).

That's the one in which Owlan sends so you look for a plant to add for his collection.

Which is one of the Kikwi in Faron Woods.

I need a little help with house cleaning sidequest. Although I already did it and got the Crystals from Mallara, IGN mentions this:
If you stop by Pipit's house at night after completing this quest, you'll overhear an interesting conversation between Pipit and Mallara.

Answer Pipit's Questions, and you can later visit his mother day or night whenever you want to receive a red Rupee (20) each time.
Here is a question - how to trigger this cutscene? Sleeping in bed inside Pipit's house doesn't work. Sleeping in different bed and visiting that house also doesn't work. The only good news is that I can always repeat the cleaning sidequest for 20 rupees.

You have to return at some point to hear the argument between the mother and son.
