Sometimes you see an ability that's really good, like Adaptability, or Motor Drive, but the holder of the ability SUCKS. A good example is Jellicent with Damp. Think about that.

So, whicb Pokémon should have which abilities? Disqus.

Damp isn't a very good Ability anymore, though... Not since the Explosion nerf...

Anyway, the first that comes to mind is definitely Kecleon with Protean. Amazing Ability, but Kecleon's stats are absolute ****, especially his Speed. The only area he's any good at is Special Defense, but that's not even remotely enough to make him useful with his decent HP and dismal physical Defense.

Fan Rotom with Levitate is the immediate next. Like, seriously? A Flying type with Levitate. It couldn't POSSIBLY get more redundant than that. As if that Rotom form wasn't useless enough with its terrible movepool.

Mine's not so much a bad ability as it is a still-good ability that simply got outclassed by another later on.

Arceus with Multitype. Before HA's were a thing this Ability was golden; Arceus could be any type he wanted to be. The only catch? He had to hold that specific plate and was susceptible to that type's weaknesses for the duration of the battle. Still a very useful ability, but it now pales in comparison to...

Protean. If Arceus gets Protean as his HA (or possibly as his Mega Ability) he'd be more than Kecleon 3.0, he'd straight-up win every single match he'd be in, bar none. He would truly become the God of Pokemon battles. It would completely break the game, but whatever I think it'll be awesome.

This one here is more like a bad ability on a Pokemon with much potential. Defeatist on Archeops.... just why GF... just why?
If only tough claws existed in BW.

I think they gave Archaeops that crappy ability because, in comparison to Carracosta, he's got much higher stats and on the face of it is a much better battler. So it's a countermeasure to make him on par with the other Unovan fossil. If only he got a HA, then he could really kick butt, instead of being weighed down like he is now.

Fan rotom Holden a balloon

Any way sand rush and other sand storm related abilities on cacturn. If it nulled damage from the stand storm then it would simply be amazing.
