Does Raichu Suck?

Raichu does not suck at all. It can be a great Pokémon, especially if you have the right moveset and train it well.

I mean, if:

• Lt. Surge's Raichu, lost to Ash's Pikachu, in the rematch of "Electric Shock Showdown".
• Can't learn Moves through Levels and has to be taught them, through TMs and HMs.
• Is evolved, from a Pikachu, using a Thunder Stone, at a low Level and doesn't know any good Moves.

Then, yes. This Pokémon Veteran strongly believes, that Raichu, does, indeed, suck and you shouldn't evolve Pikachu, unless absolutely necessary or you're really wanting to do it.
