Christopher Columbus has nothing to do with Hyrule. Also, what is this about Hyrule being on Earth? There is nothing proving this. Stick to what we know instead of trying to prove a theory with more theories.

365 day years, earth like climates and species, blue skies, a yellow sun, a single moon, and, perhaps most importantly, familiar constellations in tWW make it very likely that Hyrule exists on a variation of Earth.

As for the Flat Earth Theory, it's intriguing, but there's a globe in various areas in tWW, showing that the planet has been proven to be round.

This is is the kind of response I wanted from that. Not Tempus's.

Hate to rain on this parade but Zelda isn't real so the world Hyrule is on could very well be flat. Just saying.

P.s. I really like Squirrel's theory. I have nothing to add though.

I always thought the world of Hyrule was like the Pokemon world, with Hyrule only being one of the countries (like how the Pokemon world is split up into many different regions). We know there are places beyond Hyrule because of the existence of other countries, notable Labrynna and Holodrum. Another thing that further proves this theory is the fact that Link and Tetra actually leave Hyrule at the end of The Wind Waker and discover a new land beyond Hyrule, dubbed the New Hyrule. And who knows, there might even be more beyond that. Perhaps the world of Zelda is like the Pokemon world and there are in fact a plethora of different countries/regions. There was a time when the existence of other continents on earth was unknown, it could very well be the same kind of thing.

Well we can assume Old Hyrule was once a mountain realm due to the world being flooded thanks to Ganondork. So i'd say New Hyrule would be a relatively fresh land not to old obviously. THe fact remains though was it once a massive mountain or a conglomeration of them?

The only unknown landform never mentioned in WW that could have created New Hyrule would be Snowpeak Mnt. They mentioned Death Mountain forming an island already present In WW,

Which would still require Termina and Hyrule to exist on the same plane of existence. While I see your arguments, most of the Zelda fanbase would still disagree with you on that.
Is suggest going somewhere that is confirmed to be in the same dimension: Holodrum and Labryana. Maybe Mt. Cukoo, or Goron Mountain.

You are getting it mixed up, Snowpeak is right outside Hyrule as seen in TP. Snowhead is in Termina. Similar names and theme but different places.

Oh yeah. Thanks for that Seth.
In which case I believe it more.
Still though, that New Hyrule seems pretty far from the old land, and Snowpeak is, just as you said, right outside Hyrule. New Hyrule would have to be much farther out than that for it to not be on the sea chart.

Well. We could consider that there could have been a Geological shift, and the fact that when you look at the top of Snospeak, it continues on and on. So assuming Volcanoes are commonplace in most Hyrule mountains, this could have raised a lot of former mountains that could had been apart of the Snowpeak mountain range. Which could have gone on for quite a long distance.
