I honestly didn't mind the adventure pouch. It added realism to the game. However if you think about it, Link (himself) can hold the biggest, widest, and heaviest items in who knows where. Yet for some reason, this does not apply for everything else that goes in the adventure pouch. Nintendo Logic has killed their own Logic.
