OoT-3DS About the "Shard" of Agony...?

I don't own a 3DS yet and I was actually wondering how this item alerts you to the secret grottos without the use of a rumble feature (unless the 3DS rumbles?)?

Also, do you prefer the Shard to the Stone?

The 3DS does not support the rumble feature. It makes a noise when you're near a secret.

There's an icon on the top of the screen that will make a noise when you are close to a grotto. I actually prefer the Stone of Agony better myself because I liked the controller rumbled when you were close. And for me, it was harder to miss hearing the nose and seeing the icon rather than feeling your controller rumble.

Instead of rumbling near a secret an icon appears at the top left of the screen and flashes

as stated, the 3ds doesn't rumble shame really a sound will go off. it gets overly annoying after awhile but eh, you know how that goes. just find the stupid secret and deal with the noise!
