the only games that presented any open speculation for their placement are the capcom made ones, since I could never find an official statement on where those games were intended to be placed when they originally came out

yeah my thoughts exactly, it'd retcon the prologue to link's awakening but the ending of the oracles plays off really well to transition into link's awakening opening
