oh my ****ING GOD STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT, I had so much fun w/ those games as a kid, the 2nd one being my first ever online experience, this is something I'm getting asap
endless ocean and epic mickey is neat though
my hypest announcement was easily Trace Memory being remade ALONGSIDE the wii game we never got, those mad sons of *****es
I'm also in big disbelief that Paper Mario 2 is getting a remaster, and it looks pretty faithful
also mixed on the existence of F-Zero 99 but I'll still hop on it asap
mario galore and metal gear, what more can I ask (though dark moon is a big blegh)
a lot of good other surprises here too, though it'd vary on how much I'd keep them on my radar
first departure R already came out, it's just a touched up version of the PSP game but it did happen
w/ pikmin 1 &...
pikmin 4 looks gorgeous and maaan I can not wait for volume 4 of xenoblade 3
for some reason the game boy stuff has me really excited, I've seen that trailer in full a good amount of times now, and there's a lot of others that looked awesome but not sure how committed I am to getting any of them
darn it, I'm not ready for new games
I think the only big notable thing I expect is Metroid Prime 4, it's been far too long and I don't think it's unreasonable at all to expect to see something at this point, even if they're aiming for a 2024 release, just show something
I was very mixed on it initially but the more I rewatched, the more it grew on me, I think it's really mario himself that's bringing things down which I hate to say
oh they totally got the better end of things
not too much in this direct I'm jazzed about, for sure Pikmin 4 and whatever Fire Emblem that is are the highlights for me
THEATRHYTHM FINAL BAR LINE was a good surprise why didn't they mention Xenogears songs dang it, and the remasters for Kirby Return to Dream Land and Tales of Symphonia are...
I'll hand you Age of Calamity...somewhat, but those other games do little for me b/c I already played them in some form in the past, even if those are the best versions of those games
and at least the DK fandom actually has a retail game on the Switch
ugh a freaking morning one, which means I'll likely sleep through it or worse, wake up in the middle of it and have to wait until it's done so I can catch the video of it from the beginning, and the wait for a direct to end is agonizing
Nier was probably the biggest surprise for me, after a while I just didn't expect it to come so it's cool to finally see it
there was a lot of other good stuff too, pretty decent direct all things considered
whether it is or not isn't even relevant, I don't see what he's getting at in bringing up a game's quick reveal vs release time, just that one was apparently better at managing it's reveal time than the other
And clearly nintendo wants to keep advertising the game so that it can do even better...
That's a failing on Nintendo's part for showing a game way too damn early, even worse so for prime 4, shoot look at paper mario origami king's reveal vs release
I don't get it, w/ all the info they shared, I feel like anyone who's interested is already planning on getting it, this is just jamming something into people's faces to the point of annoyance, especially for a time where everyone's expecting a standard direct
judging from the looks of the story, you're likely to get the most out of it by playing the first 2 since it ties into them, really intriguing approach
biggest things for me
xenoblade 3
klonoa phantasy reverie
mario strikers battle league
mario kart 8 DLC
chrono cross (and maybe front mission and live a live)
fire emblem warriors
a lot of solid stuff here, love to see old series return
it didn't blow anyone away but there's some good stuff, the major ones being bayonetta 3, the new kirby, and n64 and genesis nso
stuff that I'll definitely look out for are the castlevania collection, the new chocobo racing, actraiser remake, and probably kotor
pyra/mythra is of course a huge one for me
stuff I'll keep my eye on though: famicom detective club, legend of mana, mario golf star rush, triangle strategy (what?), and the ninja gaiden collection
some others I might look at, but I liked what I saw overall
you know its funny, when a direct was announced I was as excited as anyone, but right before I started to watch it I got to thinking.....they had a pretty good E3 and they mentioned about bringing up games we knew about, how much big stuff could there possibly be?
that right there got me to...
believe it or not, world of final fantasy maxima since I've been meaning to play that game for the longest of time, but other than that, thug mansion 3
i meant the previous consoles had a lot of good games,as in there's quality in that quantity [obviously not every single game, but i used 30 as a base],wii u only has some
but previous consoles had both, wii u's lacking in the quantity part
well at least some is better than none i guess, but it's definitely falling off what w/ mario tennis ultra trash, amiibo festival, and these upcoming titles that just make me go mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
can someone remind me why people keep defending the wii u when it only has like 12 good games while previous nintendo platforms had like 30+,bare minimum
