This seems like fairly anti-town reasoning to me, but at the same time I appreciate the honesty. It can't be easy to make a quick decision under the pressure of a literal timebomb.

Was Minish a random choice? @Morbid Minish same question. I feel like the townie thing to do is to give it to someone who would likely be able to react in time and I'm not sure Zinger fits that description.
