The last two Zelda Amiibo that I am missing (Shiek and Young Link) became available for preorder at an Australian retailer who hadn't listed any of them last time I checked so I snapped them up. I can pick them up in the same shopping mall where I'll get TotK and the OLED Zelda Switch on May...
I picked up some of these cute Animal Crossing PEZ dispensers, they've got Isabelle, Tom Nook, and K.K. Slider. I've always enjoyed PEZ as a candy since I was little so it's a nice combo.
I recently picket up Wii Switch Sports which I have played with my parents a bit. Feels like such a throwback to when we used to play Wii Sports. I really like how with bowling everyone can bowl at the same time.
One of my younger brothers' birthdays is coming up this week so I purchased a copy of Breath of the Wild for him since he is getting a Switch from my parents. I am still get to own a Switch copy of the game myself since I have the Wii U version but I'll be curious to see how it looks on the...
Some friends from high school wanted to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Switch during this lockdown so I ended up finally purchasing the switch version (I had the Wii U one before and no real reason to upgrade until now). Haven't played in a while but it's a lot of fun to pick up and get back...
Continued my eBay spree today by purchasing an Australian SNES cart of A Link to the Past - since I've been working from home and saving money on transport and eating out for lunch at work I figure it is fine to redirect that cash into this :)
Managed to win an auction for a PAL Zelda 2 NES cartridge for $26 AUD on eBay. The condition of the label isn't horrific but it isn't fantastic either - though for that price I can't complain.
I got mine on eBay maybe 4 or 5 years back for around $100 if I recall correctly, sounds like prices in general are rising a bit and that you did indeed get a great deal!
That's awesome! Australian copies are supposedly particularly rare as (I believe) there was only ever one shipment of the GameCube version. I nabbed a copy on Ebay a few years back and it cost me a pretty penny, hopefully you got a good deal on it?
I got a memory card for my new gamecube since i forgot to get that last time.
I also got boxed Japanese copies of all of the following:
- Zelda Twilight Princess Gamecube (~$50)
- Zelda Wind Waker Gamecube (~$10)
- Pokemon Colosseum Gamecube (~$4)
- Mario Party 4 Gamecube (~$4)
- Pokemon Box...
Purchased a boxed Japanese Orange GameCube for about 4500 yen ($40 USDish). Got an adaptor to covert the AV cable to HDMI too and Wind Waker I already purchased previously for 900 yen. Managed to forget to buy a memory card though, so I’ll have to go get one of those sometime soon. Playing more...
Tonight I purchased a boxed N64 copy of Ocarina of Time and a boxed Game Cube copy of Wind Waker (Japanese versions).
I don't have the Japanese consoles to play them at this stage but I like to have them anyway, plus they were so so cheap.
Ocarina of Time - 1100yen (~$9.80 USD)
Wind Waker -...
I most recently purchased a Smash abroad Ultimate Limited Edition Nintendo Switch and a new PS4 controller. Finally dived in for a switch after putting it off for so long.
I made my first gaming related purchase in a while the other day. I placed a pre-order for limited editions of Twilight Princess HD and the 3DS version of Hyrule Warriors.
I just picked up Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire from EB Games. I got them price matched to Big W's $44, saving me just over $30 between the games :)
I have to go to work for the next 9 hours though, so can't play it until tonight :(
My last purchases were:
- The other day I bought Wind Waker HD Limited Edition online (import from Europe since it isn't available in Australia), I'm expecting it to arive on Monday or Tuesday.
- I just picked up ALBW from EB Games, it came with that game holding treasure chest thing as a...
Today I went out and put some preorders down:
Red Limited Edition Pokémon 3DS XL - $248
Pokémon X - $68
Pokémon Y - $68
I also got a Shiny Dialga (wireless distribution event) on three of my games :)
Pretty excited for X and Y :)
I just purchased The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. They were on sale for $6.50 each on the 3DS eShop.
I also recently purchased Super Mario Bros 2 and Super Mario World on the Wii U eShop.
Now I own every main Zelda game excluding Four Swords...
Super Mario World on the Wii U virtual console. It costs $10.40, a bit much for a SNES game but I suppose I needed a reason to pick up the console again.
On eBay I just bought the Limited Edition The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess collectors guidebook (hardcover) for $27 including postage :)
It looks like this one:
Today in an eBay auction I got the Australian version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the GameCube for $51.02 plus $7 postage. That's great considering that Australia only had it sold in EB Games and they only ever got one shipment, so it's not easy to find for that cheap (usually...
The other day I got:
$15 Eshop Card
Scribblenauts DS $12
Wii Remote Charger (2 at once) $9
3 Wii Nunchuks (Preowned) $6 each
Rayman 3D $17
Wireless Wii Sensor Bar $2
eBay: Limited Edition (with 4 game disc) Wind Waker in great condition. $70
