I think it must be a case by case basis. Some people it's not possible, some people it is. You'd never truly know until you were in someone else's shoes.
I've never really felt that way about any of my online friends, and I've been online friends with some people for 20 years. I would just say it's different for me than a IRL friend, but hey that's your view not mine.
I think the wanting to smash would never go away, but I could live without smashing if there was some things that I typically only have had in common with dudes to this point.
Trying to think of examples in my head of how this would work since I've actually not really experienced a "friendship"...
I couldn't be friends with med/hot girls and not want to do them. Is that the question?
Also don't think I've met any guys personally who wouldn't smash an attractive girl.
