    New Weapons in BotW2

Ayy! Another Ghost of Tsushima fan. Nice idea.

How Should Dungeons Be Fixed In the Sequel?

Hee hee, I'm weird since I liked BotW and Skyward Sword. :D

How Should Dungeons Be Fixed In the Sequel?

I believe the reason we keep repeating the same things is that we all have a different definition for "Dungeons". For me, a dungeon is a level based area which contains puzzles, combat, and maybe a boss. I have a flexible way of interpreting dungeons, so I am able to accept BotW's...

How Should Dungeons Be Fixed In the Sequel?

It's impossible to say what Nintendo will do in the future. Don't lose hope for Nintendo re-adding dungeons! The Zelda series has had a good track record when it comes to listening to fans. I agree with BlueBird. Dungeons were untraditional but still existed in the form of Shrines/Divine...

Breath of the Wild Does anyone know why Enemy Camps have no Enemies?

If we go to Hatano Beach on the BotW Object Map then we see that the only monster encampment is this one. Seems like it is a tree encampment, but not an empty one like I assumed. Maybe CrazedCuccu is looking in the wrong location? It's impossible to help unless we get some feedback.

Breath of the Wild Does anyone know why Enemy Camps have no Enemies?

Aren't tree forts are often monster camps?
  8. The Bread Pirate

Breath of the Wild Does anyone know why Enemy Camps have no Enemies?

I don't think it's a glitch. If you are talking about the tree forts scattered around Hyrule, some of them purposefully lack enemies. A good example of a tree fort without enemies is found on the road between Twin Stables and The Great Plateau. I believe they are meant to be shelters for the...
  9. The Bread Pirate

How Should Dungeons Be Fixed In the Sequel?

Bouncing off of that idea, I hope that Nintendo also adds the ability to buy keys. I know that sounds broken, but if the keys are expensive (and in this case one time use) then it would be a balanced way of letting the player progress even when they're stumped on a puzzle. This also means that...

How Should Dungeons Be Fixed In the Sequel?

W Wait, but doesn't the atmosphere include the stratosphere?
  11. The Bread Pirate

How would you improve the stables in BotW2?

It is fun to collect horses of different colors though! That could be a good excuse for more horses.
  12. The Bread Pirate

Breath of the Wild Is BotW the "spiritual successor" to Zelda 1?

My word, you've put to words what I haven't been able to explain to myself for the last year! :D I think it comes down to item progression as well since BotW doesn't allow the player to find items in the overworld that unlock new abilities or make new areas accessible (yah know, cause all the...
  13. The Bread Pirate

Breath of the Wild Is BotW the "spiritual successor" to Zelda 1?

How come you say that BotW strays furthest from Zelda 1 in terms of exploration? (Or do you mean another gameplay mechanic?)
  14. The Bread Pirate

Breath of the Wild Is BotW the "spiritual successor" to Zelda 1?

I forgot about the Zelda 1-BotW demo! I hope they release that as a stand-alone game someday. :D I like to think that BotW was the spiritual successor in some ways, but not in EVERY way. (Ex. Item Progression, Dungeons, and Restrictive Overworld exploration are all different between the two...
  15. The Bread Pirate

Breath of the Wild Is BotW the "spiritual successor" to Zelda 1?

That's true. A lot of games could just as easily be the spiritual successor of Zelda 1 right?
  16. The Bread Pirate

Breath of the Wild Is BotW the "spiritual successor" to Zelda 1?

Oh! Yah, I agree with that 100%. But the way it was implemented was not necessarily the way that was needed. BotW could have just as easily made an open world which still had "zones" like previous games, but expanded upon the number of zones so that it became an open world. In other words...
  17. The Bread Pirate

Breath of the Wild Is BotW the "spiritual successor" to Zelda 1?

I wouldn't use the word, "needed", but I did appreciate the change. I guess it also depends on the type of changes we're talking about cause I didn't feel that the durability system was needed. :D
  18. The Bread Pirate

Breath of the Wild Is BotW the "spiritual successor" to Zelda 1?

Is Breath of the Wild the "spiritual successor" to Zelda 1? I am not sure where I first heard BotW referred to in this way, but I believe it was around the time of E3 2016 when Eiji Aonuma was giving out interviews all over the place. But is this true? BotW and Zelda 1 have a lot of...
  19. The Bread Pirate

How would you improve the stables in BotW2?

That's a good point! But if you always know what to expect in each stable/town, then there isn't a sense of the unknown. In other words, it would make things predictable! And exploration is boring when it's predictable.

Breath of the Wild vs. The Original Legend of Zelda (VIDEO)

  21. The Bread Pirate

Breath of the Wild Boring overworld and poor mechanics.

That's a hot take, but I see your point. Even though a lot of people liked the new mechanics I also felt a little put-off by the way Nintendo handled weapons and dungeons. (Note: I DO believe that the Divine Beasts were dungeons, but I don't believe they are comparable to traditional dungeons...

Hyrule Warriors BotW2 teases in Age of Calamity?

Gee, I really hope so! But I don't want too many spoilers.
  23. The Bread Pirate

Should the Minish return in BotW2?

I don't see why not! If people don't think it would fit in BotW2, then they probably aren't thinking outside of the box. Link doesn't need to shrink down to the size of the Minish for them to be included. Instead he could find an item that heightens his hearing and allows him to hear their...

Choose One Thing You Hope for from BotW 2

So you are mostly interested in the darkness as a way of improving plot? (And not necessarily gameplay?)
  25. The Bread Pirate

Choose One Thing You Hope for from BotW 2

How come? I know that a lot of people want it to be darker, but will that somehow make it a better game?
  26. The Bread Pirate

Do you want link to have an instrument in BotW 2?

That's why we suggested instruments be used as aesthetic items. Hypothetically, instruments were added in the way discussed then they wouldn't change how you interact with the map. It would just change the animation that takes place while you teleport.
  27. The Bread Pirate

    New Weapons in BotW2

I would like to see a return to normalcy with weapons by discontinuing Shiekah Tech weapons. This is a personal preference, but I prefer Medieval Fantasy Weapons, and not Si-Fi when it comes to Zelda games.
  28. The Bread Pirate

How Should Dungeons Be Fixed In the Sequel?

So in other words, "Let's wait and see." :shrugs: I am of the same opinion! But I don't think we should go back to complete linearity in dungeons either. Instead, I think there should be a form of "Semi-Linearlity" where you have many set paths before you instead of having just one. Having...

Could Monk Maz Koshia Return For Botw2 ?

I am curious why they would come back (if they did)? Lore wise and mechanical wise.
  30. The Bread Pirate

Is it already too late for the Yiga clan to feel threatening?

I would love to see a more intimidating Yiga Clan! Just as long as they aren't randomly spawning every 5 minutes to harass me.
  31. The Bread Pirate

Choose One Thing You Hope for from BotW 2

That's a fair point. It's not impossible to make a silent protagonist work while giving them emotion. But just because another series did it well doesn't mean that Nintendo should follow the same path.
  32. The Bread Pirate

How would you improve the stables in BotW2?

Those are fantastic! Maybe the Blacksmith/Bowyer could be found in towns though since towns have so little already.
  33. The Bread Pirate

Do you want to see more of Teba, Yunobou, Riju and Sidon in BotW2?

I know that a lot of people didn't care for the Champion's Successors. Still, it would be a shame for Nintendo to forget about them completely. I think Nintendo should try to elaborate on each of their characters and make them have a meaningful impact on the story (so long as it doesn't feel...
  34. The Bread Pirate

Choose One Thing You Hope for from BotW 2

I agree 100%! He shouldn't show emotion, he should simply be an avatar for the player to project themselves onto. Too often nowadays, video games try to force you to feel a certain way via the main character's emotions, but the mark of a good game is one that can do it through the situation/story.
  35. The Bread Pirate

Choose One Thing You Hope for from BotW 2

(Probably not happening, but I love seeing old items come back.)
  36. The Bread Pirate

Choose One Thing You Hope for from BotW 2

That's going to be a tough sell for most Zelda fans, but I understand where you're coming from. I think at this point Nintendo is expected to keep the same world size or larger which is a shame since I think it stretches their efforts to much. We could get more quality if the next game...
  37. The Bread Pirate

Choose One Thing You Hope for from BotW 2

That is a good point. If the series is going to have technological advancements it should be a slow and steady progression. Never-the-less, Shiekah tech did not appeal to me since it strayed too far into the realm of Si-Fi. (And I could say the same of the Twilight in Twilight Princess)
  38. The Bread Pirate

Choose One Thing You Hope for from BotW 2

I relate to that one a lot. I want a traditional medieval fantasy adventure again, without aliens or technology gimmicks.

Breath of the Wild [UNOFFICIAL POLL] Which Horse in BotW Makes the Best "Fake Epona?"

Which New and Returning Items Would You Like to See?

The last few Assassin's Creed games have had a similar mechanic, but it mostly is used for scouting. The idea of using a bird in a Zelda game to retrieve items and distract enemies appeals to me.
  41. The Bread Pirate

What do you play to scratch your BotW2 'itch'?

Assassin's Creed, but not the modern ones. Anything from Assassin's Creed Syndicate and back. So right now I'm replaying Black Flags. ‍☠️ I also am playing A Link to the Past for a let's play series, so I suppose that counts.

Ayy boss! A while ago you told me about the dungeon design in A Link to the Past, so I finally went ahead with a Let's Play series to explore it more. I made sure to give you credit in the comments section. Thanks again! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cM3XoaOV82Q&feature=youtu.be
  43. The Bread Pirate

Breath of the Wild How do you name your horses?

I usually find a black and white spotted horse and name it "Cowbella". It's a random process usually.

I'll see your Zelda protagonist and raise you one Zelda antagonist. (Not possessed Zelda this time.)

    Deku Scrubs in BoTW 2

I would love to see them return! It would add more races into the game and possibly more variety in enemy types. I could see them as enemies and friends in the same game. Similar to OoT and MM, they should be able to be defeated into friendship. Conversely, there could be two races of Deku...

Ballad of the Wind Fish in the BotW 2 trailer?

Not necessarily. A lot of debate has been circulating about the music and the general consensus is that it is unrecognizable. NintendoBlackCrisis uploaded a video about the trailer music (Timestamp of 15:49) where he disputed the LOZ Game Over Theory.
  47. The Bread Pirate

What should be the rating of BotW2?

Zelda games are first and foremost for kids. That's not to say that adults can't enjoy them, it's just that they aren't tailored for adults. The furthest I think any Zelda game should go is T. (Similar to Twilight Princess) If it were any higher of a rating it would exclude the younger audience...

Games You Both Love and Hate

Twilight Princess. It was my first Zelda game and I play it more than any other in the series, but it is seriously flawed. I wish the game took advantage of the open-world better, utilized more of the game mechanics it created, and wasn't so linear. And don't get me started on the Twilight! I...

Breath of the Wild What are your favorite and least favorite locations in game?

I love the Great Plateau and the Necluda Region. Both of them have an atmosphere I love playing in. Least favorite are the shrines and divine beasts. I was not a fan of the Ancient-Futeristic-Technology-Vibe.
