    Bathrooms?

They probably just relieve themselves in one of the many pots lying around. The ones that aren't containing items, that is. They have to be there for some reason, right? Real answer: why should they have to put toilets in if there's no gameplay- or plot-related reason for it? The toilets in...

    Your YouTube Favorites

Wow. That was a nice bit of nostalgia. Really great video! I'm more of a "2nd-genner" than a "1st-genner", my first real Pokemon games were Gold/Silver (even if I never actually finished it...:(), and I'm contemplating getting the remake. But yeah, Pokemon doesn't have the same feel that it...

What Would You Say is the Funniest Moment in LoZ?

That MM pic is epic. I also agree that Zelda freaking out about what might happen to her body in ST was one of the funniest moments ever in Zelda. I mean, you expect the princess to be all stoic and sensible and calm, but she just goes nuts. Then again, she is a child in ST, so yeah.

What Do You Think of 3D Dot Heroes

I'm personally really looking forward to it. It looks like it has a lot of charm, and I love the fact that it's an homage to the 8-bit era, particularly games like Zelda and Dragon Quest. I'll definitely check it out.

How Do I Use the Gameshark Codes?

That depends. Are you going to do it on the actual console or on an emulator? If you're doing it on an emulator, the codes are already built in, and you can put more in there and store them for when you want to use them. I'm not sure about how to use a Gameshark on consoles, I've never used one.

Have You Ever Wondered What Shigeru Miyamoto Thought About the Zelda Cd-i Games?

He was probably a little angry at how badly they screwed up Zelda and like athenian said, probably rather amused at how awful they are. Pretty much the same reaction everyone else had over them.

    Favorite Opening Cutscene

WW. Definitely WW. I loved the old tapestry feel (I know that ST does the same thing, but I just liked the WW one more) and the story it was telling, and the music was simply epic.

    Master Sword or Biggeron Sword?

I use the Master Sword most of the time. It makes me feel more heroic. I mean, I'm wielding the blade of legend that evil hearts can never touch! Come on! And I prefer using the sword and shield. However, I do use the Biggy's Sword on occasion, mainly when I faced Dark Link because I...

    Your Favorite Video Games

I'm not entirely sure what my favourite game is, but I think it might be The World Ends With You. Brilliant, thoughtful story, well-developed characters, great dialogue (which is often absolutely hilarious), fast-paced battle system that still requires strategy, neither too easy nor too...

Is It Weird for Girls to <3 LOZ

Of course there's nothing wrong with being a girl and <3'ing Zelda! I'm a girl, and a big fan of the series. I say that more people (especially girls) need to embrace their inner geek and snatch up a controller! Although, it's true that I have felt pressure in the past. Not for gender...

Would You Want a 3D Zelda?

I'd personally love to see another Zelda game in the graphical style of Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask/Twilight Princess. Don't get me wrong, I think the cel-shading is fantastic - but the more realistic art style of the former is, to me, one of the things that makes it "Zelda". Plus, we...

    Earliest Zelda Memories

My first memory of LoZ would be of Ocarina of Time. Seeing the sweeping camera angles, Link riding through Hyrule Field at dawn on Epona in the opening cutscene. My brother was playing it, and he chose a file that was already there (it was a second-hand copy), and the first actual gameplay I...

The Message of Majora's Mask/Stone Tower Temple Theory

I read that article some time ago, and I have to say, I really agreed with it. It presented an interesting argument about the nature of the Stone Tower Temple and Majora, and the overall "have faith" message the game carries. It explains the recurring motifs and themes the game has, such as...

    L is real 2041?

When I first saw the infamous plaque in SM64, I thought it said "Eternal Star". It makes more sense in its context (being on a statue of a star and all). Now that I look at it, it does look like "L is real 2401". And, the way I see it, there are three possible explanations: 1. The writing...

Do You Organize Your Game Cases?

I always keep all the games of the same console together. Right now, they're all in boxes on shelves. One box has GCN/Wii games, another has PS3/GCN games (we have quite a few GameCube games) and the other has N64 games, with the tops of the cartridges labelled. I remember when I was younger...

    Twilight

Yeah, I've seen those comics before. They're hilarious! I tried reading the first book, but I gave up at around 100 pages because nothing was happening. The book is so amazingly plotless. And tedious. It's just Bella going about her daily business and squealing about Edward. You'd think...

    Majoras Origins

Wasn't there already an explanation in the game? It was said that Majora's Mask was used by an ancient tribe in hexing rituals. Then, when its power proved too great, too malevolent, they sealed it away, and the tribe vanished. However, it does not say that they created it, only used it...

Ocarina of Time OoT: Darker Than MM?

Now, I've not played too much of MM, but I have read a lot about it (sadly spoiling large amounts of the game for myself in the progress ), so I don't know as much of the game as I do of OoT. Now, I definitely think OoT had its shades of darkness. The Shadow Temple is essentially a...

    Ocarina of Time Favorite Sage?

Hmm...my favourite would either be Zelda (the 7th sage) or Nabooru. Zelda because she has a heavy weight to carry -- she is largely responsible for the whole thing happening, and yet she carries on with her duties and does them well, even, in the future (this is if you believe the split...

Damn, I wish I could play FFX, but I don't have a PS2 or backwards-compatible PS3. :kawaii: The only FF game I've played so far is VII, and I think it's a bit overhyped but largely lives up to its praise. The story is engrossing, the characters are interesting and the gameplay had the...

Ocarina of Time Favorite Temple in OOT

    How Advanced IS Hyrule??

Wait a minute...where is there neon lighting in OoT? Are you talking about in the Bombchu Bowling Alley? Anyway, I think Hyrule is a strange blend of medieval and Industrial Revolution. There are some steam-powered objects, like the boat and the train, and I'd say the ceiling fan is powered...

Recommendation- Wind Waker or Links Awakening DX?

Agreed. I prefer the 3D Zeldas myself, but since you played the NES games I could recommend either, you might prefer the "classic" Zelda game play. Also, bear in mind that the Wind Waker has loooooong stretches of sailing, which gets pretty boring.

    Is Wikipedia a Bad Site?

I like Wikipedia, and I trust it a lot more than most of the people at my school. They seem to think that Wikipedia is the devil's encyclopedia or something, that it's wrong no matter what. But it's for the most part fairly reliable and it's very easy to access information you're looking for...

    Darkness and Realism

I personally like my games to have a certain degree of darkness, but it should never become too much. Like NULL said, there's only so much depression you can take. And a depressing Zelda game...well...wouldn't feel like Zelda. I loved TP. I loved the vibrant world, the gripping plot and...

    Hardest Boss in OOT

Dark Link was easy if you had the Biggoron's Sword, because he can't duplicate your moves then. The child dungeon bosses were dead easy. But I'd say all the other bosses were difficult in their own way. These are the ones I can remember being difficult: Phantom Ganon ~ I had no idea which...

Zelda Wii at E3 2010? Fresh Changes?

I think that change is very welcome in the Zelda series, but they can't stray too far from the overall concept. I know that if it ain't broke, don't fix it, but who knows, maybe the change could work. Although I wouldn't complain if they came out with a Zelda with the same formula we're used...

Twilight Princess Has the Most Amazing Overworld of Any Zelda Game

I have to agree. I have not really played any of the 2D Zelda games, but I am aware of the diversity of the land in them, which the 3D games tended to lack. The worst in this regard is The Wind Waker. It's ocean. And not much else. And the islands were all tiny. Not very interesting at...

Some Mysteries About OOT and MM

The gateway to Termina is in the Lost Woods. Well, the Lost Woods is supposed to be highly mysterious, so it's only natural that it would be found there. And you're right, Axle, Ocarina of Time can't have been the entirety of Hyrule. Take, for example, the Lost Woods. If you take a wrong...

Your story, Mases, reminded me much of how I was at that age. I played Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask back then, but I never actually tried to play through the story (although that was, shamefully, mainly because I was too scared of the enemies). And even when I tried, I lacked the attention...

    Musical Instrument!

That's great news! Zelda games really don't feel complete without some kind of musical instrument. I read that it'll be used to create the titular spirit tracks. I wonder what else it'll do? But I do agree with Josh, it's kinda awkward to just be randomly blowing and shouting into the...

Which Zelda is Darker? Twilight Princess or Majora's Mask?

Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess are dark in their own ways, and it's actually quite difficult to tell which one is darker than the other. Majora's Mask was dark mainly because of impending doom (the moon) and how many of the characters were unhappy, fearful or ignorant in some way. Anju...

    Behind the Frozen Waterfall

There is - and it's called being really, really quick. Stupid Little Things

I like the animals. Getting them to follow you, picking them up...it's just soooo cute!! I don't like hurting them, though. In MM, I loved going to Romani Ranch to see all the animals there, especially the little chicks. And, since cats are my favourite animal, I would always pick one up and...

What Games Are You Playing Through at the Moment?

I am trying to finish Final Fantasy VII at the moment. Right now I'm up to Disc 2. Ocarina of Time Space World 1995 Ocarina of Time Demo

I understand how this must have been exciting at the time (well, everything was exciting; games were making the jump to 3D), but looking back on it now, it's a fairly boring trailer. Most likely because they were probably only a tiny way into production. But still, I would have liked to have...

That was kinda harsh, your brother not helping you. You probably didn't know about GameFAQs back then, either. Your story reminded me of the way I played Zelda when I was that age. I was scared of every enemy. Not just ReDeads, Gibdos or even the dreaded Dead Hand -- everything. When the...

    The Lost Dog, Little Richard

I thought of the quest as somewhat tedious, as the game barely gives you any indication of which dog it is other than the fact that it's white, at least from what I can remember. And it's difficult to not have other dogs follow you around, and you can only have one at a time. Also, who knew...

    The Undead

A very interesting theory! I like the connection between the Gibdos, the ReDeads and the Stalfos, but I do have some problems with it. Firstly, these creatures are found all over Hyrule, and you say that they are the mummified remains of a Gerudo. But the Gerudo live in the desert; I hardly...

    Faith in the Zelda Games

The Hylian religion is a major theme, if not THE major theme in the Legend of Zelda series, and I love that. The main conflict in the games occurs because of the Triforce, the symbol of the religion and the symbol of the goddess' power. Link embarks on his quests to keep the Triforce in good...

    Best Music in WW

Legendary Hero is just. Epic. Especially with the tapestry-like images. It really captures the feel of an old, dusty, yet powerful tale. Dragon Roost Island has a free-flying, windy feel. It's almost refreshing to listen to. The Mario & Zelda Big Band remix is fantastic, too...
