Yeah, the timelimit gets in the way in the ending quests. Unless you level up your weapons online, then all of the later quests are easy. I can kill the final single-player boss in 14mins. Also, the final title is Fabled Harpooner not Lord of the Abyss. I misspoke that in one of my last posts.
